Volunteer with the Blanchard River Watershed Partnership
Help Protect the Blanchard River Watershed
Volunteers play an important role in protecting and improving the health of the Blanchard River watershed. Whether you have a few hours or want to stay involved long-term, there are opportunities to make a meaningful impact right here in our community.
From hands-on projects to educational programs, volunteers help support the work that keeps our waterways clean and our communities informed.
Volunteer Opportunities
Water Quality Monitoring
Assist with programs like Salt Watch and Nitrate Watch by collecting water samples and helping track conditions in local streams and tributaries. These efforts provide valuable data that supports watershed planning and improvement projects.
Stream & Litter Cleanups
Join organized cleanup events to remove trash from streams, riverbanks, and surrounding areas. These efforts help improve water quality, protect wildlife, and enhance the natural beauty of the watershed.
Storm Drain Marking
Help raise awareness by marking storm drains throughout the community. These markers remind residents that everything entering storm drains flows directly into local waterways.
Community Outreach & Events
Support educational programs, community events, and outreach efforts that promote awareness of watershed issues and conservation practices.
Project Support
Assist with restoration projects, habitat improvements, and other conservation initiatives as opportunities arise.
